I think tutoring students from different backgrounds, needing different types of help, makes me more proficient and experienced in this field and helps me become better with time. I am a very disciplined person, and I don't like negligent or disrespectful people. I would tutor anyone who has the passion to learn and an aim to reach. I try to work with my students by analyzing their strength and weaknesses then help them accordingly. I have been a tutor for almost 4 years now and I loved it so far. I am trained and Certified in Orton Gillingham reading methods by the State of Hawaii Dept. Fluent in French, Indonesian, Sundanese, and conversant in Russian and Japanese. Certified as a Qualified Parent Trainer in Communication by Family Team Institute, Ft. Qualified administrator and interpreter of Myers-Briggs Type Indicator for career skills and major selection. Seven years of Special Education teaching experience provided insight into differences in learning styles, issues of learning disabilities including ADD/ADHD, Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia, and Autism Spectrum Disorders, and how these impact higher education experiences. I have over 20 Years of Extensive Tutoring, Educational Counseling, Mental Health Services, Client Advocacy, and Special Education Teaching experiences.
